My Story
My name is Linsey Wallace, I'm a singer/songwriter/musician, wife, mother of 4, worship leader, voice and music teacher. I have a passion to see the broken hearts of people be healed through the avenue of music. The songs I have written for this album, "Begin Again", center around my journey through personal trauma, and the hope we have waiting on the other side of pain.
The Project
I'm going to be recording 8 original songs at Olalla Bay Music Studio at the Proctor's Farm in Olalla, WA from April 1st - 4th, 2019. This album will be simple and self-produced. The goal is to have the product ready by early June, 2019.
What I Need & What You Get
The goal is to raise $10,000 by June 1st, 2019.
Here's the cost breakdown:
$2,500 for engineering and studio time
$2,700 for mixing and mastering
$1,000 for album artwork and graphic design
$2,000 for distribution, duplication, manufacturing
$1,000 for musicians pay
$800 for misc. costs (childcare, website, and marketing)
I need to raise at least $4,500 by the 1st of May, 2019 to pay for services rendered of the engineer, studio use, musicians, album artwork and graphic design. If I don't raise the entire amount, I'll have to pay the difference out of my own pocket, which will be difficult, hence the fundraiser. Also the actual manufacturing of the CD will be postponed until I raise the entire amount. The recording will happen regardless of how much is raised.
There are perks to becoming a contributor of this project!
- $10 > You will receive a digital download via e-mail of the album, "Begin Again", by the beginning of June 2019.
- $25 > You get a signed "Begin Again" CD and a digital download of the album, hopefully available by the beginning of June 2019.
- $100 or more > All of the above AND, you will get your name added to the "Thank You" section printed on the CD jacket.
