Bees cancer treatment

Donation protected
As we all know our dear friend/shredder Bee was diagnosed with breast cancer. Bee and Kieran have made incredible changes in their lives to attack her diagnosis and on top of all are keeping their spirits high and even letting them grow and touch all of us along the way. However, among all of these changes comes the cost, and as all of us can attest this adds stress to our lives, a stress that Bee and Kieran should never feel. I’m hoping that we as a community can step up and do our part to help them never have to feel that burden while they challenge this life changing experience.

Bee's Story:
On December 21, 2018 Bee & her family received some shocking news. Bee was diagnosed with Triple Negative, Grade 3, Invasive Breast Cancer.
Bee's new journey began here, and for anyone who knows Bee and her spark for life, her determination and resilience, is notshocked to see her take her diagnosis and future treatments head on and with full spirit.
She decided against neoadjuvant chemotherapy and to proceed with surgery first, followed by working closing with a large team of holistic doctors and practitioners alongside her oncologists:
Naturopath, Herbalist, Reiki Master, Counselor and she is looking to add in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Her path of healing has now lead her to  Dr. Parmar, an integrative oncologist at the Integrated Health Clinic in Fort Langley. This is a unique opportunity in which her primary oncologist will becapable of working and communicating with all of Bee's current practitioners/healing modalities to ensure the best and most effective treatment outcome for the longevity of her life.

Bee is going to be starting a treatment called Loco Regional Hyperthermia Treatment (LRHT), which is usuallydone in conjunction with Radiation therapies.
Unfortunately, the LRH Treatment falls outside of conventional medical coverage and the Nikula family is facing a cost of approximately $6000 in order to completethe 3-4 sessions per week for a duration of 4 weeks with the team at Integrated Health Clinic. On top of this they will also face the cost of travel and accommodation in the lower main land over the minimum 4 week period.
We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help ease the financial burden for Bee & Kieran through this hard time, and to hopefully eliminate one form of stress in this critical time. Kieran will be attending school to further his career up north while Bee completes her treatment.
All funds raised will go directly towards medical bills and Bee has wished for any funds raised beyond the cost of treatment to be donated to Boarding for Breast Cancer. She says that "The idea that I could help another woman get to experience Baldface Lodge or a trip of a lifetime, while going through a Breast Cancer diagnosis, would be amazing. "
Alongside her work and doctors visits Bee has drastically changed her diet and lifestyle; no sugars, no alcohols, no caffeine, no grains, no processed foods and is focused on buying and eating the highest quality foods available to heal her body from the inside . She has added in daily affirmations, gratitude's, yoga and meditation to her routine.
On top of all of her lifestyle changes, Bee has also successfully completed a course over the last 2 months that has helped hergain knowledge on how our bodies are capable of healing and is putting her knowledge into practice each and everyday.
Bee is putting her heart and soul into this new journey in her life, learning, growing and inspiring us all along the way. We all know she has the strength to overcome her diagnosis, I hope we can come together to support her and help her get there.

Lots of love and gratitude.
