ReStart Augusta is a 501c3 not-for-profit. Our mission is simple, to provide the means for a good nght's sleep to those that are unable to provide it for themselves.
We raise funds through donations and grants and use these funds to buy lumber, hardware, bedding. mattresses and box springs. Our volunteers process the lumber into queen and twin beds. Other volunteers prepare bags of bedding to accompany each bed. Ond a final group of volunteers deliver and set the bed up in the clinet's home.
Now you might wonder just how we know who is in need? To identify those in need we accept referrals from local social agencies in the CSRA. The requirement to recieve a bed are two-fold.
1. The client does not have a bed.
2. The client cannot afford to purchase a bed.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
We hope you will come and volunteer with us! We are 100% volunteer driven and welcome you and your family. At ReStart Augusta we have a job for everyone!
If you can't come and volunteer, we hope you might make a donation. We accept gently used bedding (all except pillows,) mattresses, and box springs. We also accept monetary donations. In fact the list below will give you a sense of the cost for various portions of the beds we donate to those in need. At this GoFund Me site you can donate whatever amount you choose.
Donation of $8 buys hardware for one bed.
Donation of $10 buys lumber for one head board
Donation of $30 buys lumber for one bed frame
Donation of $40 buys bedding for one bed
Donation of $50 buys one box spring
Donation of $110 buys one mattress.
