Becoming a Data Scientist

My name is Wilhelmina Onyothi (Star), an inquisitive and motivated Namibian, eager to advance my professional career in data engineering & science. With the generous support I received here I managed to go to Berlin and join an intensive Data Science program , for which I am eternally grateful, but for reasons beyond my control the original budget proved insufficient, and so I'm asking for a little more support to help me see this journey through to the end.

So far in the last 80 days, we have covered a range of courses such as advanced python concepts, Deep Learning, Representation Learning, Classical Machine Learning & Natural Language Processing to name a few. 

My Portfolio project  is on Real-time Object detection using deep learning, coupled with time series analysis. Followed by a presentation, where I share my lovely journey  with a wider audience. 

I have a strong interest in how machines are used in decision making, eager to advance a professional career which aims to leverage of technology to meet the bottom line and act as a catalyst for change, for the social good. Contributing towards the betterment of the rural areas (informal settlement) of which i am a product, and exposing the youth towards technical concepts.

These weeks have been intense and truly inspiring. Now with a few more weeks to go and to make this a great finish I'd like to ask you to help me fund those last weeks. I'd personally like to let you know how much your support means to me. Thank you!
