Beckie's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Beckie's medical decline began in 2014 with several gynecological issues. In 2015, she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and a BRCA 2 gene mutation, which not only puts her at a very high risk for ovarian also breast cancer. She had a full hysterectomy to remove the ovarian cancer and a preventative double mastectomy. After several complications and surgeries to correct them, she began research cancer treatment medications in 2016. At the beginning of 2017 her cancer treatments drug was no longer effective, so she is now trying immunotherapy to attempt to keep the cancer at bay. The treatments and cancer make her sore and very tired. As she declined in 2017 she accepted that working was too much and was gratefully able to go on long term disability through First Tennessee Bank. After suffering from a GI blockage for two months with extreme pain, stomach cramps, vomiting and nausea she was admitted into the hospital for observation on June 6th,  for a week.  After treatment to clear the blockage did not work, she went into emergency surgery on June 12th. Beckie had three feet of her intestine removed as the small ovarian cancer tumors are sticky and bind the intestines. After being in the hospital for over two weeks she will be discharged and will be on a restricted diet.

Since this fund has been active for over two years and her bills have steadily increased we have raised the monetary goal. As Beckie has had numerous surgeries, treatments and hospital stays for over these two years and with recently being on disability her and her family kindly ask you to contribute to her medical fund. Your donations aid Beckie in meeting her basic monthly bills such as providing gas, groceries and medications.

Beckie is a mother with two children, Julia 17 and Brodie 15.  She is blessed that she has not had to go receive chemo or radiation.  Beckie believes in the power of prayer, and knows God is right here by her side.  It hasn't been easy, but she tries to stay positive every day and is grateful that she can spend another day here on earth with her children.

Beckie and her family kindly thank you for your continued support, love, prayers and donations. Go Team B!!!
