Because were all human

"Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive". Let me introduce you to Charles. He is 72 years old. Charles is one of the kindest, hardworking individuals I have ever had the honor to work with.  Charles currently has bone cancer and is going through Chemo and radiation,and yet he shows up to work every day without fail.  Dealing with cancer, chemo and radiation are difficult. Nevermind having to be on your feet scrubbing floors, bathrooms, polishing brass and other labor intensive job requirements 5 days a week 8 hours a day.  Throughout his struggles,and illness he still manages to smile, and ask me every day if I have had lunch. As sick as he is, he still worries about others. He even cooks some of my favorite Haitian dishes (He is an amazing cook and baker).  He says that me enjoying his food makes him happy
 Charles has become weaker,but cannot miss work due to copays, medical bills, rent, utilities etc . We have encouraged Charles to take time off, but he can't afford to.  
I have wanted to do this for months, but was so scared I would let him down. In thinking about it some more, I realized I have amazing friends and family that really care for others and so here I am. Humbly asking you, my friends, my family ,fellow humans to donate anything. Even if it's leaving a comment for Charles with words of encouragement . Even if you simply "share" this.
With this goal, he can take 3 months off, and focus on treating his cancer.
