Where there is a will there is a way.  We have our very own special "will", Officer William Caballero, who is a 15 year veteran of law enforcement.  He has served with Florida Highway Patrol, Osceola County Sheriff's Office, and currently is one of Tampa's finest.  As Will's supervisor and friend, it is a priviledge to share his courageous story with you.  Will is 44 years old, married to Jeannie and father to two girls.  He came to the Tampa Police Department just over a year ago and was already known as a hard working go-getter with a heart of gold and a passion for justice.  In December, he got sick and just couldn't shake it.  He was diagnosed with pneumonia, but several rounds of medication proved ineffective.  After an emergency visit to the hospital, he learned that he had Stage 4 lung cancer which had spread to his bones.
Will is  in the fight of his life and he needs "back up" now more than ever.  He is currently unable to work and has used up all of his sick leave.  His wife will be on leave from her job to care for him.   100% of all funds raised will go directly to Will to assist him with any and all medical expenses, to include transportation and temporary housing, during his cancer treatment.
On behalf of Squad 104, I'm asking you all to keep Will in your prayers and donate to this worthy cause if you are financially able.  If you cannot donate, please share the word.
Thank you, God bless, and be safe.

Thanks to everyone for their generosity, prayers, and well wishes. Will and Jeannie are overwhelmed and so grateful for the support they've received. To update, Will started chemo today. This is the official beginning of his road to recovery! Will is maintaining an extremely positive attitude, and is gearing up for the fight of his life. Please remember Will and Jeannie in your prayers. Because their financial needs are increasing, I've upped the goal to $15,000. Any contribution, regardless of size, is appreciated. Be safe and God bless.

Thanks for the overwhelming support you've all shown Will. He is so encouraged by your kind and loving words. As you can see, we have raised the goal so that he and Jeannie can think even less about the financial part of Will's treatment. Please keep Will in your thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. God bless and be safe.
