Macy's Great American Marching Band

Hi, everyone! My name is Brooke Blair and I am beginning my senior year at Houston High School in Germantown, TN (a suburb of Memphis).

I am so excited to march on Thanksgiving Day with the Macy's Great American Marching Band!

I am politely requesting your support to help underwrite my costs to participate and travel at Thanksgiving to New York City.
I auditioned in January 2017 to be a member of the Macy's Great American Marching Band (MGAMB) that is featured in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. 

The MGAMB is a very competitive opportunity and only 2 participants are selected from each state for the colorguard.

I've been a member of a colorguard team since my freshman year of high school. I completed my freshman year at Vestavia Hills High School (Birmingham, AL), but moved to Tennessee for my remaining years of high school.
I have been with the Houston High School Band for my remaining high school years.  We perform with the full band during football season and also attend competitions, winning many awards.

I am also a member of the competitive winterguard during the winter/spring season for Houston High School's varsity colorguard team. We have competed nationally and I have been to Colorguard World Championships in Dayton, Ohio two times.

I will spend a week in New York City with other MGAMB participants from around the United States. Any donation you make will help to enhance my participation in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
