Beautiful Gate - Lesotho, South Africa

Dear Friends and Family,
From June 6 through June 19, I will be in Lesotho, Africa to love on the children and staff at an organization called Beautiful Gate. My high school, Holland Christian, partners with this organization and I was given the opportunity to serve alongside of several classmates of mine. Beautiful Gate’s mission is to glorify God by providing housing and medical care to children in need, as well as creating opportunities to grow in their knowledge of God.
In this country, poverty is overwhelming and 1 in 4 people are HIV positive. Beautiful Gate takes in these kids who are affected by these and other daily struggles. It gives them a safe place to grow up being loved and cherished until they’re adopted.
In James 1:27, as followers of Christ we are called to look after the orphans and be stewards of the earth. I will doing this by providing childcare, building maintenance, and community clean up.
In order to do this, I’m in need of financial support. If the Lord is leading you to donate to support me on my trip, please consider giving on this website.
More than anything, I would appreciate prayers for the children at Beautiful Gate and that continual journey that live. Pray for my team of students and teachers to learn from the community there and for safety on our travels.
