Celebration for the Victory of Beatriz Chacon

On behalf of the Chacon family. First and foremost, I want to declare that God is in control and He has a plan and a purpose for everything that happens in our lives. I also want to thank every single person who is and will be visiting this page in the days to come. Last Tuesday morning my mom was rushed to the hospital. After having some preliminary examinations and tests done, the doctors identified cancer in her body, more specifically in her stomach (Linitis Plastica, an adenocarcinoma). Part of the testing required her to get a biopsy of her stomach lining which should indicate more specifically the source of the cancer and the treatment that will be needed. We are still awaiting these results, so we will update as we know more. Most of you know my mom or a member of our family to some extent and your love and care for us is apparent and undeniable. It goes without saying that she is an incredible mother to her children and a loving and faithful wife to my father; more than that, anyone who has spent time with my mom knows that she is a light to everyone she meets. She is a wise counselor for people who seek her advice and a nurturing figure to many infants, children and teenagers who have come under her care. I know she will be the first to tell you that she is merely a reflection of what God has called her to be and that is what makes her so incredible and an inspiration to us all. This has been a very difficult week for us and we are stepping into an unfamiliar territory. However long this season may last, we know that God is walking this journey alongside us. We know that He is faithful not only in the good times but during the difficult times as well. Our declaration through all of this is Soli Deo Gloria, Glory To God Alone. Psalm 71: 20-21 You have allowed me to suffer much hardship,     but you will restore me to life again     and lift me up from the depths of the earth. You will restore me to even greater honor     and comfort me once again.
