BEAT the AS

Hi Everyone, Corey and Linds here! As some of you may know Linds was recently diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis which is an auto immune disease that effects the spine and SI joints. This disease usually takes up to 5- 10 years to diagnose; she was diagnosed in 7 months. During that 7 months I’m sure most of you didn’t know she was dealing with pain 24/7. She never complained, she worked 12 hour shifts, got up every day and pushed through with a smile on her face. Her mobility was decreased significantly from lifting her arm and putting a cup away to not being able to bend over and put her leg in the pant leg. There has been days where I have had to lift her out of bed because her lower back is in so much pain. Eventually her spine can become fused if not managed properly. With that being said we have decided to start a 6 month treatment program and continue moving forward that will hopefully help us manage her pain and quality of life. With this treatment program there is a huge possibility to put her in remission. Since we, including her family have learned of this diagnosis we have spent countless hours researching and educating ourselves. We feel this treatment option is the best, least invasive, and has helped numerous others. For those of you that know Linds, she is one that doesn’t show her emotions and stays as positive as she can. For those of you that know me, I rarely ask for help and try to do everything on my own. But with this situation it is hitting us hard financially and anything you can do to help would be appreciated. Of course insurance does not pay for it. As you all know, we are planning our wedding, and just bought a house. This is a beautiful time in our life but nothing is more important than health. Thank you all and much love!
