Beat Stage IV Non Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer
Donation protected
I was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It’s an extremely aggressive blood cancer and I have just completed my 2nd round of chemotherapy, but I still have 4 more rounds to go. After the conclusion of chemo treatment, I will require a full bone marrow transplant. The cost of the bone marrow transplant is ~$300K, but I will only be on the hook for roughly $18k after the insurance coverage. Fortunately if the procedure is a success it is considered a cure. The transplant will take place at VCU Massey Cancer center in Richmond, VA for an unknown period time (based on progress and immune system being built back up to normal levels). Myself and my caregiver (wife or other relative) are required to be at the hospital throughout the entire process. If the bone marrow transplant is successful, that will be the cure for this cancer!
So if you graciously decide to donate funds this will not only help pay for the enormous medical bills, but will allow my required caretaker (my wife Laura or other family members) to be with me throughout the whole process. These donated funds will also help cover expenses to use on my two daughters to care for them, which will probably require sending them to relatives back in Texas during this rough and difficult time.
