BEARS EMERGENCY BLADDER SURGERY

Donation protected
Bear is our 1 year old Mastador.  He became critically ill on Thursday by urinating blood from a ruptured bladder. This was a spontaneous rupture. He was happy and playing in the morning and by late afternoon he had made himself stiff as a board from the extreme pain. We drove two hours to Charleston, SC from Savannah, GA to a 24 hour emergency hospital named Charleston Veterinary Referral Center. It was referred to us by his Veterinarian at Banfield.  We chose to go there to provide the best medical care for him. He was admitted immediately that night and had his surgery at 2:40am. He had a tear from alongside his entire bladder to some of the Urethra. It was an extensive surgery and recovery time is expected to have him stay until next week.  The initial estimate was $8500 but unfortunately has climbed up to a possible $13,000.  We really are in dire need of any donation that is possible. I have already spoken to the staff at the hospital and they are aware we are going to start this fund. Please know this money will go directly to Bears care and I will post reciepts/charges if needed as proof. Please donate what you can. We love him so much and we were able to pay some of the bill but now it is extremely high and I am afraid he will not get the care he desperately needs.  Thank you.
