Be A HERO!!! Little Heroes Fund

The Little Heroes Fund is Non Profit that was started out of LOVE!!! love of a Community, Love from Friends, and most importantly Love from Family. With a Focus on helping children all over the Nation with Special needs, Little Heroes has a need to capital raise for the future and immediate needs.
The Deneault Family of RI, is so blessed to have a little Angel in their life and teach them that with the support and help of others families with a special needs child have a great opportunity to give their child the best life possible. Dawn and Erik Deneault, owners of the Little Heroes Fund started the organization because of the great support friends and family showed them when their third child Danica was born. Danica was born with a very rare epeleptic disorder called Aicardi Syndrome. Dr.s' told them that Danica would never eat, breath, walk or talk, have hundreds of seizures a day. They said she would be blind, and have a life expectancy of just 7-8 years old. Well, the Deneaults' never settled for that diagnosis. They fought every single day to give their daughter the best therapies, and chances at a normal life. They had the support of family, friends, and the community to raise funds to get equipment, and services not provided by insurances. When Danica was 3 they reached several goals that they thought would never be accomplished. Danica learned to Crawl, then walk, She is only blind in one eye. she does not need a Breathing tube or G-tube. Her seizures were only 50 or so a day. She still does not talk, but she is trying very hard to learn sign language.
So the Deneaults took one of their fundraisers for Danica and turned it into a starting point for the Little Heroes Fund. Their mission is to help families attain resources that will better the quality of life for special needs children. Weather it is to build wheel chair ramps, help get Wheelchairs, walkers, mobility equipment, physical therapy tools or toys, or simply be a childs advocate. LHF has been apart of State Legislation and is always working with law makers and other groups on making new laws that will benefit children and families.

Currently The Little Heroes Fund is in the need for more than $1,000,000.00 (One Million Dollars) to build out and rehab a new Headquarters.  The Deneaults garage and basement are over flowing with equipment and they need  to move to a larger office to make the next steps in improving the quality of life for so many other children.  Little Heroes has aquired a building in North Providence RI.  The local town leadership has worked out a great deal for LHF.  A 2 story 1930's School building will be the new HQ. The problem is there is going to be a complete rehab needed.  Replace the old knob and tube electric, Replace the Roof, Replace all the Windows, Remove all the Lead, remove and clear all the Asbestos, install an elevator, or atleast a chair lift.  They need a new parking lot, and out side landscape, new fence, and fresh paint.  All this and then a complete build out of the interior.  New offices, security... EVERYTHING>>  

Here is where Little Heroes is going to make an even bigger impact.  They will open their doors to many other Non-Profits.  Best Buddies, and Childrens Wishes are two great groups that also have a huge impact on the Special needs community.  They both offer amazing resources and will be allowed to use the building as their own as well.  We will provide office space for them and their causes nearly free of charge.  ALSO!!! We will provide our Board room and meeting space for other non-Profits free of charge to conduct their board meeting, have mail delivered, and even use office space and resources to help those groups get started and have a place to call home.  We will invite Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Sports groups, and just about any Org looking for a break to get started.  

So the Little Heroes Fund is looking for generous donors and donations to reach our goal and help provide a very valuable resouces to some very special children.
