Bawtry Christmas dinner Mission for the lonely

I first put a add out on the 13th November to offer a seat at my table for anyone that was on their own this Christmas to join me and my husband and 5 children for dinner on Christmas day as I have a spear seat at my table !
That night I got a call someone wanted to join me and my family for dinner . :)
But then I started to worry what if more people rang me I only have room for 2 at the most and don't won't to say no to anyone !!
So then I ran with this idea of getting a venue and cooking dinner for anyone on thier own that day !! I didn't know how I was going to do it or where and more people was putting their name down !
Its happening and I have a venue and dinner :)
I have 41 dinners so far and had a amazing response and help from the community to do this .
Im hoping to get them all a gift too
And we are also having a little tea party after as they will be leaving at 5 o'clock didn't want to kick them out straight after dinner so drinks ,party food and games after and maybe a sing song !
I would love to do this every year and get it booked ready again for next year also be able too get transport for people that live out of this area so they could come too ! As no one should ever be alone Christmas day or any time of the year. if I raised enough I would organise a day trip for them to sometimes people dont talk to anyone for weeks never mind seeing anyone im hoping to change this in my area no one should be alone .
