Supporting the victims of the Batticaloa attack
Donation protected
Today marks one week since the horrible attacks across Sri Lanka. The Zion Church in Batticaloa is the most isolated of the attacks and we are fundraising to provide support to the families of the victims.
Specifically, there are 20 people who have lost their lives (of which 16 are children). There are also 26 who are seriously injured.
We will be giving the funds directly to Reverend Solomon Dixon who works to the Human Rights Organisation (Sri Lanka). He will be distributing these funds between the families.
To get the funds directly to him we will be using Moneygram money transfer service via UK post office to transfer the full amount to: National Christian Assemblies of Srilanka.
Once they receive the fund they will be distributing to the Batticola church victims in Person led by Rev Father Solomon Dixon
Also a copy of the above will be kept at their office at 104 Palaly Road .Jaffna . Srilanka
Additional information:
I am a Sri Lankan tamil currently based in the UK. This tragedy happened whilst I was on holiday there. I have known Rev. Dixon for many years as a friend due, in part, to his great work for Christian and non-christian communities in Sri Lanka.
Funds will be given directly to the families of the victims, specifically looking at where government funding has been lacking (e.g. seriously injured but not killed).
