Basalt & Lake Christine Fire

As you know, Colorado is on fire. Southern Colorado has suffered tremendous loss from the Spring Fire. As the third largest wildfire in Colorado history, destroying over 100 homes, the Spring Fire has created unbelievable loss. The Lake Christine Fire has also ravaged homes and taken families' entire possessions. I am reaching out to you to help get books into the hands of the children whose lives have been impacted by the Spring Fire and Lake Christine Fire.
I am a Team Leader with a company called Usborne Books & More. Founded in 1973, Usborne Books and More has expanded immensely over the years but our mission statement has remained unchanged: “The future of our world depends on the education of our children. Usborne Books & More delivers educational excellence one book at a time. We provide economic opportunity while fostering strong family values. We touch the lives of children for a lifetime.” For these children whose homes have been destroyed and/or damaged, new books will help lift their spirits, engages their minds, and help provide much-needed distractions from the devastation they have experienced.
For this book drive, we are partnering with families who have been personally affected by the fires. We are discovering that it is not just homes that have been destroyed but also hundreds of homes that have sustained such extreme smoke damage that all possessions are unusable. Our Colorado team feels compelled to help this community. We have several team members who were evacuated and are from this area, and hold this cause near and dear to our hearts!
With your help, we will be able to provide these families with quality, educational books as well as activity books. Usborne Books & More will match all donations by 50%. This means that the children impacted will receive 150% of every donation. (Ex: $50 donation = $75 worth of books; $100 donation = $150 worth of books; $500 donation = $750 worth of books; etc.) No donation is too big or too small. All donations are greatly appreciated!
I am asking for donations to be collected now through July 27th.
