Barbara Arney " The Battle Begins"

On 3/09/2017 , after several months of unexplained illness, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is a very rare cancer of the blood and bone marrow. I was completely caught of guard by the news and my family was devastated. My husband and I have two sons, and a beautiful granddaughter. Since the diagnosis I have been unable to work and have depended on my family and friends for emotional, physical, and financial support. We are determined, as a family, to stick together through this. I have recently started chemotherapy and am hopeful for a positive outcome. 

I have made the choice and commitment to be a testiment to my Christian faith throughout this trial. My faith in God as my healer, and in Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior is at the forefront of my focus right now. The evidence of God's love has been shown to me through the kindness of others during this time and I only hope that I can be an example of God's love and light to others.
