Baby Zain plagiocephaly helmet treatment

Zain is 5 months old and has been diagnosed with Severe plagiocephaly. This is when the head at the back is flattened on 1 side, causing it to look asymmetrical; the ears may be misaligned and the head looks like a parallelogram when seen from above, and sometimes the forehead and face may bulge a little on the flat side. Zains head is very asymmetrical and his ears are misaligned.
The only way to correct this for him, is a specially designed helmet that he will have to wear for 23 hours a day. This will help to reshape his head back to a normal shape and allow his skull to fuse correctly and is the only treatment for this condition. Unfortunately, there is no funding available on the NHS for these helmets. The costs are in excess of £2000 and there is only a small window of time for effectiveness, which isn't enough for us to raise this money ourselves.
As a Mother I am reaching out for help so my son doesn't suffer or fall victim to bullying as he grows older. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for any donations made and for taking the time to read and learn about this condition x
