Baby Thomas NICU Survivor

$1,065 of $5,000 goal

Raised by 7 people in 11 months

Our little Thomas was born fairly healthy at 5:37pm on February 16, 2017 but developed an infection hours after birth. He had to be transferred to the NICU at Tacoma General Hospital at 2am on February 17. He had a rough start and had to be on breathing machines off and on for a few days during the worst of the infection. He is a fighter and has pulled through all of the challenges his little body has encountered. He should get to come home soon after the completion of his antibiotics. We are seeking help to cover the out of pocket cost after insurance so if you're able to help at all, we would be so grateful. Thank you!

Thomas will be 2 months old on Easter Sunday and is doing well. He is a true survivor! His appointment with the infectious disease specialist on April 3rd went great and he currently shows no signs of infection. All of his follow up now can be done through his primary care doctor. He will have to get blood work done every couple months for a while to check for infection to be sure he continues to be okay. He weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces at his appointment which made the doctor very happy. We hope and pray he continues to do well and thrive.

Medical bills have continued to come in the mail so please if you can't donate today share our page so hopefully it can reach someone who can. Thank you everyone for your continued love and support! ♡

Thomas is now 5 weeks old and is 7 pounds! He's eating 3.5 ounces at a time and keeping mom busy. We are keeping our fingers crossed for good news when we see the infectious disease doctor for a follow up on April 3rd and get the results of his blood work. Thank you if you've already donated to our cause! If you're unable to donate today please share our link to help us reach more people who may be able to help us out. Thanks!

Thomas is now 3 weeks old! His first week at home has gone good, but of course mom has been nervous and cautious about all the little things. Tomorrow is his actual due date! This little guy is such a fighter and has come a long way in his little life! Please continue to share the link so word gets out about our campaign. Thanks!

Thomas was released from the NICU on Sunday March 5th. We are so happy to have him home and get to be a family together finally. He has follow up appointments scheduled with his pediatrician and with an infectious disease doctor to keep monitoring him as they say his infection could easily come back within the first 90 days of when he first got sick. We aren't out of the woods completely yet but we're getting closer! Thank you to those who have donated so far. We appreciate you. Please keep spreading the word! Thanks!

Here is hoping you get to take your bundle of joy home soon. I was a premie and look how cute I turned out.
