Baby Taylors Medical Fund

I am a dad who lives for his girls. This is Baby Taylor! She is my 4th daughter. She is not even a year old yet and has battled through more in life than my other 3 girls combined. I LOVE HER.

Baby Taylor during one of her ultrasounds prior to being born was found to have sacks in her brain that had not emptied out the spinal fluid they normally create and then dissappear.  Thats when the worrying started for my wife and I. We had to have more tests and higher powered more detailed Ultrasounds done. Which confirmed that the sacks were there and should not be. The worrying and concerns grow for Baby Taylor.

She was born with Torticollis, simply put her neck was in a bent position during the 9 months that she was in the womb. This is not always a problem but however for Baby Taylor it was. She began Physical Therapy almost from the day she was born to help her be able to hold her head up correctly and reverse the torticollis. Her Physical Therapist has been amazing. However the Torticollis that is much improved is still present, and PT must continue.

During one of her PT visits, it was noticed that Baby Taylor had unusual tightness in her legs, and weakness on one side of her body in her arms and legs.  She has not yet began to crawl but is able to do kind of a wounded soldier scoot with the strong side of her body.  The little toughy gets around! The findings from the PT led us to Neurology appointments for Baby Taylor. However she is to young to make a determination at this point, as to what the future effects will be on her.  Everything that can be done has been done. The Torticollis or the sacks in her brain have clearly had some effect on the nerves on one side of her body. She must continue the Nuerology appointments and testing.  This also led to Orthopedic visits to check the structure and shape of the bones in her neck, which again needs to be monitored on an on going basis. So the visits continue.

Due to the Torticollis Baby Taylor was not able to move her head around all that much, it was kind of stuck in one position. This led to an akward large flat spot on the back and side of her head, causing her head to be miss shaped. Her pediatrician asked us to have her see a plastic surgeon at Dartmouth Hitchock hospital. His reccomendation was to get her into a custom made helmet to help round out and reshape the back and side of her head. My Beautiful Princess! I will do anything for you. This lead us to Orthotics and Prosthetics appointments to get the custom helmet made for her. Those will continue for some time to monitor the success of the helmet and for adjustments to be made to it.

The cost of Physical Therapy, Neurologist, Plastic Surgeon, Orthopedics, Pediatrician, Orthotics and Prosthetics has been sky high! They have worked together as a team and done an incredible job for Baby Taylor.  Her future looks bright. My wife and I work full time jobs, 60hrs or more a week. We have Health Insurance through work. Our health insurance has actually paid a significant amount of money towards all these bills, and I can not complain about them. However the portion they did not cover has come directly out of our pockets. Tens of thousands of dollars. When that ran out I had no choice but to take out personal loans to the tune of about $35,000. This is my daughter, my princesss I must find a way. So the total is $35,000 between all of the loans to improve the life of my daughter who I love so very much, money well spent.

My wife and I have cut back everything we possibly can to pay these bills. If we could have predicted the future and planned for this it would be a different story. We never imagined we would be hit with such high bills in such a short amount of time, Baby Taylor is not even a year old yet.  I feel like a failure as we have had to take away a lot from our other 3 girls and I can not do the little things for my wife that I once could. We are near a breaking point, and the monthly cost of those loans about $1000 on top of all the normal bills a family incurs, mortgage, electricity, food, cars, daycare etc is overwhelming. Times are tough but we all realize we need to do what we need to do for Baby Taylor.

I have worked for my entire life, started working at the age of 15, never had to ask for help like this before. Never been on unemployement or welfare or filed bankruptcy or anything of that nature. However right now I am asking for help. If I can raise the $35,000 here and pay off the medical debt we can manage the rest going forward. I need your help!

All money donated will go directly to paying off the medical debt, and the sooner the better for not only Baby Taylor but my family as well.

I can not express in words how thankful I would be if this money can be raised. You are helping me help my princess have the best quality of life she can possibly have and I would be forever in your debt for that.

I am dad who literally lives for his girls, they mean the world to me. I have always done whatever it takes for them, i just need a little help this time. Thank you!
