Baby Hunter and Family

We have all gone through tough and challenging times.  But Baby Hunter and his parents Ken and Kerri Reid are going through a pretty tough one right now.  Hunter has had bacteremia of the blood twice now since being born only 6 weeks ago.  Both have resulted in long hospital stays and IV antibiotics around the clock.  Many or most of you have not had the pleasure of meeting this little boy yet, but I can tell you he is one tough cookie.  This innocent baby boy has been poked and prodded more then any of us adults could sanely stand.  He has been falling asleep to the sound of a hospital beeps and faint cries seeping through the stressed walls at CHOC Hospital for too many days to count. His parents have been right by his side, holding his teeny hand or lovingly rocking him while whispering sweet words like, “it will be ok” and  “we will be home soon”.   In order for the family to remain strong and support each other, they have both needed to take time off of work.  This is where we come in. 

I have set this page up for those who would like to show their support (instead of sending flowers) and give the Reid Family some sort of peace of mind. If it is a donation you can spare, that would contribute greatly to making sure that they have one less thing to worry about.  Or even kind words or thoughts will help raise their spirits.  It is during these trying times that we need our village the most.  If we could all come together, we can show the family and ourselves how powerful love actually is.
