Baby Boy Stimbert's Help Fund

Donativo protegido
Hey friends and family. I am putting this out there so that my friend Tyler and his beautiful wife Steph can get a little help. Please see their story below. (writen by my buddy Tyler) Lets all give a little so we can help with the financial part of getting Baby Boy Stimbert some much needed help. This is going to be a very trying time both personally and financially for this little family, so I just wanted to see if all of us together could help make at least one part of that a little better.

Thank You All!
Jaime

May 2nd my whole world was shaken down when we found out that our baby boy was diagnosed with a fairly severe case of Spina Bifida. Hearing that my first son would be born with a neural tube defect that would cause his spinal cord to be exposed, and the potential that he would be paralyzed, or suffer coordination issues was heartbreaking. Not to mention this would likely be our only child as subsequent pregnancies are likely to result in the condition as well. His life will likely be shrouded with medical care, procedures and surgeries in order to keep him healthy.

We had kept it pretty quiet as we were dealing with a lot of emotions, thoughts, and information. We told close family and some friends so they could keep us in their prayers. We know God gave us this baby for a reason, and we know that His glory will shine through the outcome of this journey. There is no explanation as to why or how this happened. Our doctors are just as shocked as we are. But we have decided to move forward with fetal surgery to fix the defect in-utero. We have a small window to work with and are flying out to San Francisco to start 3 days of evaluations to make sure our baby and Steph are candidates and if all checks out, surgery is scheduled for May 30th. We would appreciate your prayers through all this and to make sure Steph stays healthy and she doesn't get sick during this time. There are good benefits to doing surgery now vs waiting until he is born. This could mean the difference between him not walking and walking with crutches, and will likely decrease the need for a shunt to be placed in his brain to drain spinal fluid.

We have been in constant prayer and praise for this little blessing and it seems like God is opening a lot of doors for us in this direction. We still won't know what exactly we're dealing with until he is here, but we're hoping this will improve his development. After surgery happens, Stephanie will be on modified bed rest; so she will not be able to work. Her last day was May 19th and for an undetermined amount of time. Which is quite a bit earlier than financially planned, the added expenses of travel and additional medical expenses are going to be difficult as we will be missing an income to help care for our little guy. So we are headed into a journey of uncertainty and trust, So if you would join us in lots of prayers, and anything else you can do to help us out is appreciated!

1 Corinthans 12: 9&10 say - And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
