Baby Athena's Memorial Service

It is with a heavy hert that we anounce the passing of my great niece Athena Noelle Bullard, on 5/18/17. She was a beautiful and perfect baby who will always live on in our hearts.
On 5/17/17 Athenas mother, Hailey Gertz, had a docters appointment where they detected no hertbeet. She was then rushed to the hospital whey they confirmed that little Athena had passed.
On 5/18/17 baby Athena came into this world as an angel. Her mother and father, Hailey Gertz and Jonathan Bullard, are devastated by this loss and ask for the love and prayers of family and friends.
Uppon Athena entering the world the docter noticed a segmental thinning to the ubilical cord. This occurs whea portion of the umbilical cord is thin due to a lack of prtective covering around the blood vessel. This occours on a portion of the cord and not along its entire length. This requires approprite treatment for an ptimal outcome. Nevertheless, the prognosis in most cases is poor. Currently, Segmental Thinning of the Umblical Cord is a condition that cannot be prevented. Further investgating is being done to confirm what caused this little angel to leave us so soon.
The Memorial is set to be heald on June 1st at Hamsher Lakeside 12 N Pistakee Lake Rd, Fox Lake IL 60020. A time will be posted once that is determined.
