Classic Saxophone Rebuild

My name is David Villa, I am a music teacher, saxophonist and musician in California's San Joaquin Valley.
I am attempting to raise the funds to repair my saxophone to its original condition.
I perform in a number of musical outfits; jazz combos, concert bands, swing bands, and a Portuguese marching band.
In August of 2015, I rode my motorcycle to a Portuguese event in Rio Vista, CA. I took along my classic 1949 Buescher "Big B" saxophone to play on because it is so much lighter weight than my other alto and causes less fatigue and stress on my neck. Unfortunately, on the way home, a combination of wind gust, a stepped edge to the asphalt on the on ramp, and gravel, I crashed the bike and trashed the horn.
As my Buescher is a family heirloom, I want to get it fixed. The motorcycle insurance wouldn't even make a dent in the cost of repairs.
Ideally the instrument will be sent to Music Medic for their überhaul service which will return my saxophone to a "better than new" condition. I have sent them photographs, and they have suggested a starting cost of around $2700. That is without seeing or handling the instrument in person, only in photographs.
I would like to have this work completed before the Portuguese marching season begins in April. Funds would be needed by March 15 to ensure completion of the rebuild.
This horn has been in my family for at least 40 years, and I would love for it to be around for 40 more. I want to be able to pass it on to my kids or grandkids.
Your help will be forever remembered, I will personally hand letter your name on the outside of the instrument case as a permanent reminder of your help, send pics of the instrument in use and post live performances on YouTube.
