Bringing Dad Home

Daniel Barcelona was known by many names. Dad, Grandpa, Danny, Uncle, Baby Bro, Cuz, Beans, and as he'd say, You Mother!!

Whatever anyone knew him by, they would find out that if he didn't start the night as their friend, he would end it that way. He always had a joke and a grin for everyone, giving people the shirt off his back if they needed it and the best home cooked meal even if they didn't.

Dan made family wherever he was, in Colorado, Minnesota, Thailand, Nicaragua, and many other places. He worked as a chef most of his life and cooked for enjoyment all of his years. He wore many hats, but the one he loved the most was Grandpa.

He adored his Susie and was adored in return. Their favorite thing to do together was head up to Jump City, then walk to get ice cream.

He served his country in the Navy on the USS Kitty from 1973 - 1978. His contributions as Radar Man saved many lives and a testament to his brilliance and innovation.

Dan passed away in Nong Kai, Thailand, where he spent many years making great friends and enjoying life. He will be missed all over the world, from his first home to his last.

His family is bringing him home from Thailand to Colorado to be with his parents, brother, and grandson.

His sister Lucille, brother Gilbert, children Isaac and Desiree, and granddaughter Susanna (as well as many others) would like to thank anyone who might contribute, as well as everyone who knew and loved him and made his life amazing.
