Ayverie battles Childhood Cancer for the 3rd time

You need to meet this girl, she is so awesome!!! Please read her story below and share :) Let's blow the goal out of the water.

There are many expenses when supporting your child who is battling such an ugly disease.  In many cases working becomes a privledge or just not possible.  Parents like Ayverie's mom Valerie often struggle silently because money is not a priority when your child is fighting for their life.  Please consider helping even if it is just financial...it will lift that burden.

Expenses (this is a list of possible expenses)
Gas $1.00/lt++
Parking $20/day
Food x 2 x 3meals plus snacks...and coffee (for mom)
Meds? not everything is covered
Gifts, anything to make the time go buy

Everyday expenses (you know this list)
rent, heat, hydro, water, taxes, car payments, insurance, phone, internet, ......and the list goes on.

Even though life can seem to stand still when you spend so many days in the hospital....the expenses keep piling up.

Ayverie's story

January 2013, 7 year old Ayverie started to show signs of a typical flu; vomiting, headaches, fevers and dizziness.  After weeks of back and forth from the doctors, specialists and the hospital on January 31, 2013 through a CT scan a 5cm mass was discovered on Ayverie’s brain stem.  Ayverie was rushed by ambulance to McMaster Children’s Hospital, and into the PICU.  Ayverie had brain surgery the next day in an attempt to remove the tumour, for the best chance of survival. Ayverie was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (brain cancer), one day after her 8th birthday on February 7, 2013.

October 2015, Medulloblastoma reared its ugly cancer face once again..........

Over the years Ayverie would took on the biggest challenge of her young life…..  To beat cancer!  Ayverie had to undergo radiation therapy (30 treatments), chemotherapy (9, 28 day cycles), surgeries (2 tumor resections, and 5 others) , cyber-knife radiation (5 treatments), rehabilitation, many tests and hospital visits and stays.

November 2016, Medulloblastoma reared its ugly cancer face for the third time....... Ayverie is now 11 years old and has beat cancer twice, and has just began her third. She will turn 12 on February 6th, and will be celebrating her 12 birthday in the hospital.

This battles options are extremely limited........ One clinical trial and access to drugs from a trial that has finished.

Ayverie's battle continues and she ready to fight hard! Cancer is not going to win this battle for the third time! Medulloblastoma picked the wrong kid!

Moms story..............

I have been on leave from career as a retail manager since January 31, 2013.  I have not returned to work, I have been focusing on the care Ayverie needs to overcome the battle.

I am a single mother by choice, but a single parent NOT by choice. Ayveries father has chosen for reasons only known to him to not be involved in Ayverie's life. He and his family are aware of Ayverie's medical needs and diagnoses.
