Ayúdanos a ayudar a nuestra abuelita

Nuestra abuelita Teodosia Acevedo, de 101 años está muy enferma. Hace unas semanas sufrió un accidente cerebro vascular y su situación  está empeorando de manera rápida por su edad y otras condiciones de salud. A raíz de un problema circulatorio su pierna derecha hizo una trombosis por lo que tristemente los médicos han recomendado amputarla, para que ella viva el tiempo que le quede sin un dolor insoportable y con dignidad. Es una decisión desgarradora, pero no nos queda ninguna duda. Por su condición y la situación de Venezuela es inviable trasladarla a un centro de salud público, ya hemos agotado las coberturas de los seguros médicos y nuestros propios recursos durante estas semanas. Se estima que el costo de las cirugía son 6.100 $ más gastos de hospitalización,etc. Estamos haciendo todos nuestros esfuerzos para cubrir la operación y brindarle una oportunidad para su bienestar. Our beloved grandmother, Teodosia Acevedo, who is 101, is terribly ill. Some weeks ago she had a stroke and her condition is deteriorating rapidly, due to her age and also other health factors. More recently, she developed vein thrombosis in her right leg, and a team of doctors agrees on recommending an amputation, for her to live whatever time is left without excruciating pain and with dignity. It is a heartbreaking decision, but we have been left in no doubt. Now, given her condition and the state of Venezuela, it is impossible to get treatment in a public hospital. We have already exhausted both the insurance coverage and our personal resources over these past weeks. The estimated total cost of the surgery is 6,100$ plus another related expenses as hospitalization. We are desperately trying to raise fund for the operation and so to give her a chance to have some minimal well-being.
