Ayden and William's Headstone

Donation protected

This is the tragic story of two young brothers.
Ayden who was 6 years old and William who was only  2.

They were your average country boys. Loved playing outside. Couldn't pass up a mud puddle. And there wasn't a worm, frog or lizard for miles that they wouldn't chase.  They were both blond haired, blue eyed and had that perfect devilish grin. To say these boys oozed charm would be an understatement. There wasn't a grandparent, aunt or uncle they didn't have wrapped around their finger. They  were loved by everyone who had contact with them; and i am not just saying that because i am their grandmother.  There truly was something special about them both.

On January 21, 2017,   William Gauge Roberts, who was lovingly called  "12-Gauge Willie" Drowned when the bank of a creek washed out from under him.  It took the police, his family and friends, along with the help of everyone in the community to find his body.

On March 8th, 2017,   Ayden James Roberts , who had just recently nick-named himself "Fire-Boy", was killed in a car crash on Hwy 60 in Borden just a few blocks from where his younger brother had drowned. He was flown by emergency helicopter  to U of L but never survived the flight.

The boys died just 45 days apart.

They have temporary crosses on their graves at this time. But they can not stand there for much longer; It's against the cemetery's rules to have temporary markers. If they are removed i am not sure this family  could survive knowing the boys are in an unmarked grave.

The boy's story has been on go fund me before by others back in 2017. That money to pay for the funeral and burial plots.  The total sum of the both funerals was well over $15,000.00. The money I am trying to raise goes to the cost of the boys headstone.

Although we have tried, our family just can not afford to buy a headstone for the boys. Family and friends alike are trying desperately to pay for the one the boys parents picked out, but none of us are in a position to do more than a dollar or two at a time.  Which is the reason for this last go fund me campaign.

My name is Bobbie Montgomery and I alone am running this fund raiser, no one else has access to the money.  And if you know me , you know what those boys meant to me and how important them having their stone is.  This is simply a grandmothers last attempt to do something for her grandsons. The money raised will be used for their headstones ONLY! If we exceed out goal, the money left over will go to a worthy cause.
Any and all donations regardless of amount will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.
Bobbie
