On March 9, 2018, Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time, directed by Ava DuVernay, hits theaters nationwide. With this film, Ava makes history as the first Black woman to direct a $100 million budget movie. 

Ava’s diverse reimagining of this classic stars 14-year-old Storm Reid in the lead role as Meg Murray. Other Black female and women of color cast members include Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kahling and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Sponsor a Black girl in New Jersey to attend a viewing of this groundbreaking film during Opening Weekend at the AMC Hamilton 24 in Hamilton, NJ.

$20 sponsors a 3D movie ticket (for Saturday or Sunday afternoon) and AMC KidsPack (kids popcorn, small fountain drink and fruit snack) for one girl.

 The goal of $4,000 is to sponsor 200 Black girls to attend two viewings during Opening Weekend. Funds raised beyond the goal will sponsor additional girls.
