Awesome Warrior Spencer

Spencer was officially  diagnosed with metastatic neuroblastoma, a type of cancer, on May 17, 2019.  He will be admitted to Doernbecher's Children's hospital on Tuesday, May 28th to begin chemotherapy treatments.  The road will be difficult and long, at least a year.  Janalyn will be with him every step of the way, in and out of the hospital.  Jeff will keep us going through work, and join us as much as he can.  We believe in a loving Heavenly Father who has a plan for us, his children.  We know he also has a plan for each individual to experience in this life the opportunities and trials we need to prepare us to return to Him.  We are strengthened by knowing of His love and His plan for us.  Our Savior suffered all things so He may succor us in times of our suffering.  He has been with us so far and will continue to be so as we walk this journey.  We rely on His grace.  Spencer's biggest desire is to be loving, caring, and sharing.  He is a sweet boy with a big heart!  We know that not only will he have opportunities to be all of that, but that because of him, we all get to have that opportunity as well. We love you and appreciate your love, friendship, and support during this difficult time.  

Spencer will be admitted to Doernbecher's for 1-2 weeks at a time up in Portland OR.  He will come home to recuperate and  will then return 5 times for additional rounds of chemo.  This is just the first step of his treatment plan.  Janalyn and/or Jeff will be with him in his room each day he is in the hospital.  We will have expenses of gas to and from, food, and medical bills.  We are hoping these funds will help pay for Spencer's medical treatment.
