Winter Olympian, World Champs Season

My name is Anthony Watson. I am a 2018 Winter Olympian who competed as the first ever skeleton athlete to represent Jamaica in the sport of skeleton. The road to the Olympics was definitely a challenge that stretched me in many ways but the experience and memories will last a lifetime! With the Olympics being a Non-profit organization no athlete gets paid to compete. In turn we are required to raise funds for ourselves until fully endorsed or sponsored by individuals or companies. The cost of a regular season can cost anywhere from $25,000 to $28,000. An Olympic year will cost $30,000 to $35,000. This year after competing in the sport for 4 full years I need to purchase a new sled for competition. A number this big always looks intimidating but the list is as follows for expenses and costs for season. 2019 will be my first season post Olympics leading up to world championships in Whistler Canada. Preseason will begin in Canada. I will be flying in to Whistler, Canada for small Nations training and the first two races of the new 2018-19 season. Here is what every penny of donations will help me achieve. 2019 COSTS: Sled - $9,000 .Runners $450 a pair (need 5 pairs) $2,250 .Uniforms (2 brand new ones) $600 ($300 ea.) .Brush Spikes Shoes $375 a pair (3 pairs)$1,125 .Room & Board $8,850 Flights $9,600 (international included) .Overweight bags (sled and runners) $950 per flight .Car rental w/ full coverage insurance $1,850 2 week rental per country .Training fees $35 run (16 runs a week) $560 .Race Fees $100 per race $800 ( 8 races) Bringing my total costs for Olympic Season to $36,485 This is a one time donation I am asking for.
