Run for Human Trafficking Awareness
Donation protected
Please join me in raising awareness and funds to support survivors of human trafficking in North Carolina. While human trafficking is a problem worldwide, it also occurs every day right here in North Carolina. Because of its interstates, tourism, agriculture, and other factors, human trafficking is big business in our state. In 2017, North Carolina is among the top ten states for number of calls to the National Human Trafficking Hotline operated by Polaris.
To support Durham Crisis Response Center’s work with trafficking survivors, I will be running from Charlotte, NC to Durham, NC, approximately 150 miles, from January 11 through January 16, 2018. Please consider supporting my run today! A donation of $5 can help cover a meal for a survivor or her children, $25 can help provide clothes for a survivor, $30 can help buy a bus pass to get a survivor to a safe place, $65 will help cover a night of safe shelter for a survivor, and $125 can help us relocate a survivor when living here is too dangerous. Feel free to click the link below to donate so we can help survivors and their children get to a safe place free of violence. Anything helps, even $5, and all donations will go directly to Durham Crisis Response Center to help support survivors.
