Avey's Recovery Fund

Recently I was involved in a very serious car accident. Due to my head injuries, I can not remember the minutes leading up to the crash or the terrifying moments afterward when I was extracted from the car. I remember driving down I-80, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in a hospital with a tube down my throat. Thankfully, I managed to not injure anyone else in the accident, but I was left with multiple fractures and lesions. My clavicle was broken in four places and three of my ribs were fractured along with the femur on my left leg.
The most signficant and painful of my injuries are the breaks in my pelvis. My sacrum was shattered and I have multiple fractures in either hip. Because the injuries in my pelvis, I will be uable to walk for six to eight weeks. Once I have passed that barrier, I can begin physical therapy in hopes of regaining my basic motor functions. The doctors have told me it could be six months to a year before I make a full recovery. Until that time, I have to rely on others to perform even basic tasks for me, which has been a humbling experience and a lesson in asking for and accepting help.
Which is why I decided to do this. For the next few months, it will be very difficult to earn enough money to pay for my bills and medical expenses. I would so appreciate the ability to just focus on healing and to not have to compromise on the medical care I recieve due to cost. I know that there is a long road ahead of me and that nothing is going to make it easy, but with your help I think I could come out of this not only fully recovered, but in the best shape, physically and mentally, that I have ever been in.
I plan to use this money to make copays, continue to pay for my health insurance, pay my phone bill and pay for medications over the next few months while I am recovering.
