Autism training for Mommy and Daddy

You all know that Jacob has non-verbal autism. Most of you know that we have tried MANY ways to help him communicate with us better over the last few years. We have not seen much progress though. Some of you have heard us mention The Son-Rise program recently. So here goes...
In the last few weeks we’ve found a center that is having high levels of success bringing children through their state of autism: The Son-Rise Program® at the Autism Treatment Center of America™ (for more information see their website: www.autismtreatment.com). The center which runs The Son-Rise Program is not a direct miracle, but it seems like a door we’ve been praying God would open to provide a process miracle. And with the verse that God gave us for Jacob a few years ago, we believe in Him to follow through with His perfect plan. It reads:
Ezekiel 24:27
"At that time your mouth will be opened; you will speak to him and will no longer be silent. So you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the Lord. "

So, Ray and I plan to travel to the Autism Treatment Center of America in April for a week of focused and intensive training. Through this training we will be able to work more effectively with Jacob over the next several months/years to help him through his autism. The success rate of The Son-Rise Program instills hope in us for his freedom from this mysterious condition.
In order for us to attend this training session, we must come up with at least $5,000 for the training and expense of travel. Of course, we will personally carry as much of this as we can, but with a single income, we will need some help. Therefore, we are asking family and friends that can do so, to consider helping us with the expenses associated with this training.
It is not our intentions to place you in an awkward position, and we assure you that we fully understand and respect the fact that you may not be able to help. However, if you can, we will forever appreciate it.
We plan to leave for Massachusetts on in early April, 2017. So your rapid response will really help.
We would not ask this favor if it was for us, but our concern for Jacob pushes us to humble ourselves and ask, trusting God to provide as he sees fit. Thanks for reading our note, praying for Jacob and for any financial help you might be able to give.
