Autism service dog for Luca
This is my 8 year old son Luca and autism assistance dog Tilda. Luca is atypical autist and has infantile cerebral palsy. Due to his autism his perception is different, which causes difficulties in his daily life, and also is not always easy for me and my partner.
Due to a lot of negative experiences and a very long journey to his diagnosis Luca has very low self esteem and often undervalues himself, being overly self critical. Thus he occasionally feels that he deserves being mocked and that he is unlovable. He also has difficulties being proud of himself, since he believes there is barely anything he can do right.
He is visiting an inclusive school as a special needs child, and is accompanied by a school mentor throughout the entire school day, since he often misunderstands words and behaviours of teachers and other students, or perceives them differently than intended. He then often gets angry, wants to leave the room and becomes aggressive, when leaving is not possible or he doesn't manage to withdraw himself. A situation that is very difficult for him, and also complicates integration. Therefore he often needs a safe space to withdraw to at school.
In order to be able to study properly he often goes to a separate room with his school mentor. Unfortunately the mentors change more frequently than we like, and so it is difficult for him to develop trust. This is where Tilda could help and be there for support. Tilda would always be there for him and could give him stability when he is not feeling well. She could be his support and friend at all times.
This would also be a relief to us as parents, because currently Luca is very fixated on us. Tilda could give him security and self esteem, because in order to give Tilda commands, he has to make himself tall, and yet simultaneously practice a kindly tone, which is often difficult for him. With Tilda by his side it is much easier for him, and he is proud that he will be allowed to take care of her.
Falling asleep would be easier for him as well, because where currently I, as his mother, have to soothe him to sleep, in the future his trusted friend Tilda could take over and give him a sense of security and calmness.
Unfortunately the costs for an autism assistance dog like Tilda are not cheap. They are 28 000 Euro, which is why we depend on your help. Please help Luca and his autism assistance dog Tilda to get together.

Das ist mein 8-jähriger Sohn Luca und Autismusbegleithündin Tilda. Luca ist Atypischer Autist und hat eine Infantile Cerebralparese. Durch den Autismus ist seine Wahrnehmung anders, was ihm viele Schwierigkeiten bereitet im Alltag und auch für mich und meinen Lebensgefährten nicht immer leicht ist.
Durch viele negative Erlebnisse und einen sehr langen Weg zur Diagnose hat Luca ein sehr geringes Selbstwertgefühl und schätzt sich oft schlechter und kritischer ein als er eigentlich ist. So hat er teilweise das Gefühl, dass er es verdient geärgert zu werden und dass man ihn gar nicht liebhaben kann. Auch fällt es ihm schwer Stolz auf sich zu sein, da er glaubt, dass er fast nichts richtigmachen kann.
Luca geht in eine Schwerpunktschule als Integrationskind und wird die komplette Schulzeit von einem Schulbegleiter begleitet, da er oft Worte und Verhaltensweisen von Lehrern und Schülern missversteht bzw. anders aufnimmt wie sie gemeint sind. Er wird dann oft wütend, möchte aus dem Raum verschwinden und wird Aggressiv, wenn dies nicht möglich ist oder er selber den Rückzug nicht schafft. Eine Situation die für ihn sehr schwer ist und ihm auch die Integration erschwert. In der Schule braucht er daher oft Rückzugsmöglichkeiten.
Damit er in Ruhe lernen kann geht er öfters mit seinem Schulbegleiter in einen extra Raum. Doch leider wechseln die Schulbegleiter öfters als uns lieb ist und so fällt es schwer für ihn Vertrauen aufzubauen. Hier könnte ihm Tilda helfen und als stütze da sein. Tilda wäre immer für ihn da und könnte ihm halt geben, wenn es ihm nicht gut geht. Sie könnte ihm jederzeit unterstützend zur Seite stehen und eine gute Freundin für ihn sein.
Das würde auch uns als Eltern entlasten, denn aktuell ist Luca sehr auf uns fixiert. Tilda könnte ihm Sicherheit und Selbstbewusstsein geben, denn um Tilda Kommandos zu geben muss er sich großmachen. Gleichzeitig aber auch einen freundlichen Ton einüben, der ihm oft schwerfällt. Mit Tilda an seiner Seite fällt ihm das viel leichter und er ist stolz, dass er sich um sie kümmern kann.
Auch das einschlafen würde ihm leichter fallen, denn wo ich ihn aktuell als Mama in den Schlaf begleite könnte dies künftig seine treue Freundin Tilda machen und ihm so ein sicheres Gefühl geben und ihm zur Ruhe zu verhelfen.
Leider sind die Kosten für eine Autismusbegleithündin wie Tilda nicht sehr billig. Sie betragen 28 000 Euro, deshalb sind wir auf Ihre Hilfe angewiesen. Bitte helfen sie Luca und seiner Autismusbegleithündin Tilda zusammen zu kommen.
