Autism Service Dog for Bryer

Donation protected
Hello I'm Bryer's Momma and my name is Brenda. We live in Perkins, OK. Bryer is an amazing almost 4 year old boy who loves anything toy story and loves watching YouTube videos. He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 18 months old. He receives school services for speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. He also receives outside services for occupational and speech therapy. He has seven older siblings that love him very much. He is really starting to engage with his siblings at home and his peers at school. He is a very happy little guy with a lot of sensory issues when it comes to everyday living. These sensory issues make some days harder than others. A lot of places we go are very loud and crowded which makes eating and sitting still difficult for him at times. He is also known to elope. He is very quiet and very fast when it comes to trying to get out of a situation he might find difficult. He is also a head banger and will often bang his head on hard floors, walls or door frames for the sensory input. This also happens when he is frustrated, over stimulated or just can not express his wants and needs. So we have taken several steps including purchasing a system that will give us GPS tracking of Bryer at all times. This has given us a bit of security, but feel that getting him a service dog that could be with him at all times would give us more of a since of security knowing that he will never be alone in any situation. He loves dogs and seems to calm down when around them. A services dog will be the key to Bryer's independance. His dog will be trained to stay with him and to be an anchor for him in those times of wanting to elope. We have found a service dog that has already went through an extensive training program and will need some continual training to maintain the training that he has already had and to sharpen his abilities to serves Bryer's specific needs. His name is Tucker and he is an 1 year 5 month old black lab. Bryer loves him and we want to be able to give both of them the training they need to be a successful team. This will be so beneficial to Bryer. This training doesn't come cheap and that is why we are asking for your help. We will greatly appreciate every amount little or big. I promise to pay this forward in anyway I can. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read Bryer's Story.
Thank You,
Bryer and his momma Brenda
