Help Miltry Fam w/Cancer move to UK

Doação protegida
Hi everyone!  My name is Joe and my wife is Helen.  We met in '96 while stationed at RAF Lakenheath England while  I was in the USAF.   We married 3 years later and had our first son just a short year after that.  The AF sent us to the States where I've been stationed ever since.   Now we have 4 sons all of them have Autism, each with differing severities, all with their very own special needs.   While I am still in the Military, I want everyone to understand that this GoFundMe account and this story has no bearing on my status in the Military.

Helen was recently (just days ago) diagnosed with Breast Cancer and it has travelled to her right armpit lymph node.  Our goal is to move back to England to be with family.  Please read and share our story and if you are able to donate, we appreciate it.

As I mentioned, since coming to the states, we've had 3 more sons - each with varying types of Autism.  My second youngest, he goes by Roo, is severly autistic.  He needs help dressing, showering and in his every day-to-day needs.  Up until recently, he was never medicated but in Jan '15 he started developing severe aggression and directed it towards himself and the rest of the family.  Desperate for help, we went to the nearest developmental hospital for help and was turned away because he was too severe.  A month later, we found our solution with a local psychiatrist and now he's recieving help and medication - a band-aid for the problem of Autism.  Every day with him is a new and different day - we never know what it may bring but we have love and we have patience.

Our other sons aren't nearly as severly Autistic and stand a chance of potentially being able to live on their own.  They're all the joys of our life but now our life faces a new challenge, as if God thought we didn't have enough challenges to deal with.  As I mentioned earlier, Helen was diagnosed with Cancer and now we're faced with an uncertain future - I can't do this alone so we've got to fight this as best we can.  It's been an emotional roller coaster in the last two weeks since we found out and now we want even more to get back to England to be near family.

Unfortunately, my place of birth (here in the US) is where the Military will pay to move my whole family - NOT to England.  Conventional flights aren't feasible with today's FAA standards due to the nature of my children's condition.  We'd have our aircraft grounded and we'd be taken off the flight before it took off!  Our absolute best choice would be a privately chartered flight to England but that's a huge chunk of change.  Alternatively, we're considering one-way cruises with cabins that are big enough to carry us all and keep my boys entertained and safe.

I really appreciate you reading this story so far.  Please share my story, have your friends share my story and their friends too.  I will continue to update as we progress with Cancer and the ensuing treatments while preparing for our final destination!
