Australia costs an arm and a LEG

After 3 years of trying, Ben and I finally moved to Australia. We got working holiday visas, got jobs at top restaurants, and began the journey that we had been working towards for years. This past weekend while Ben was at his friend's wedding, he fell and broke his Leg. At first we thought it was a sprained ankle, but after a visit to the ER we discovered it was a broken Fibula, and 2 fractured ligaments in his foot. He requires surgery to fix it or he won't be able to walk again. After the surgery he will be off for at least 3 months while the bones heal. As well prepared as we thought we were, we were not prepared for such an event. We are asking for help to get us through bens recovery period as not only will we only have a single income but I will also need to take time off in the beginning in order to help him.
