Austin Sutton Funeral Expenses

This account is on behalf of our beloved nephew, Austin Labe Sutton, 22 yrs., was called home to Jesus on Thursday, June 15th, 2017.  He was an amazingly talented and creative self-taught musician, who lived his life to the fullest and always with quick wit and a quirky sense of humor. His love of music and drive for following that passion through recording and performing is where he dedicated his time, energy and, he would say, all of his money. To be so young and know so clearly what he wanted to do in life, is unique. Austin graduated from Sand Creek High School in 2013 and even though he never enjoyed school, he persevered and completed an Associate of Arts degree from Pikes Peak Community College. While he was proud of his achievement, he would be the first to say that his true education came from living life and creating and performing music with his band, Letters to the Living. Austin had deep and loving friendships that were more like family than friends. He could also make a friend just about anywhere he went, as his amazing smile drew people in. Austin was a champion of the underdog, sometimes to his own detriment, and thought nothing of coming to the aid of kids being bullied. He gave of his time willingly when it involved music and was so happy to mentor and share with fellow musicians, to help perfect their craft or to learn from them. He worked hard for what he had in life, and he was excited to be moving into his own apartment, having his band play at new venues throughout Colorado this summer, and spend time with his girlfriend, Louisa. He had a deep and abiding love for family, especially for his sister, Amanda Jill.  Austin will be forever and always in our hearts.  

All donations will go toward paying for Austin's funeral and burial expenses.  His service will be Tuesday, 20 Jun 2017 at 5:00 p.m at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade, Colorado Springs, CO.   Our sincere thanks!
