PLEASE HELP, WE NEED $100,000 TO HELP ALL THE UNWANTED AND UNLOVED CATS & KITTENS IN OUR COMMUNITY
Due to the acquisition of our land by the Department of Education to build a school, our Animal Shelter is relocating to a temporary site while our new permanent home is being built. The temporary site will enable us to continue to care for and save many unwanted or unowned animals but due to zoning restrictions, although we can have a clinic to care for surrendered animals, we are unable to operate an outpatient clinic for public use.
We have brain stormed many ideas as to how we can continue to offer heavily discounted surgeries, consultations and medications to the thousands of animals in our community, also offering payment plans and emergency assistance to our most vulnerable clients.
A mobile desexing and consulting van had been included in our future plans but due to the current situation we feel it needs to happen NOW.
Unfortunately with the $$’s we are spending on securing and fitting out the temporary site, costs associated with permits and plans for our final home and at the same time continuing to run the current shelter, we need help to finance this much needed service.
An alternate plan is to acquire a temporary site to set up a Veterinary Clinic, however knowing the huge annual cost of rent coupled with the difficulty in procuring permits, we would need a factory or site with low rental and the right zoning otherwise there would be huge time delays to get it up and running.
Time is of the essence as our services are vital, especially as kitten season is always around the corner.
So, being a not for profit, self funded animal charity we need help to fund the mobile Desexing van or to have a vet facility up and running asap.
We’re hoping to raise $100,000 to ensure either option becomes a reality.
