Aubrey the Type 1 Diabetic Warrior

Well.. here we are. Never thought in my wildest dreams I'd be one of "those" creating a go fund me to ask for money. But after losing my job, selling my car, and getting rid of every hobby of  enjoyment like my love for CrossFit, I am at the mercy of this chronic disease of type 1 Diabetes. Our 2.5 year old daughter Aubrey was diagnosed on January 5th and our whole life was turned upside down. We made significant financial changes to our lives including selling my car. I've been working from home temporarily until we could find proper care for our daughter and also our 4.5 year old son. After weeks of little to no luck, my employer was no longer willing to accommodate or work with me and decided to let me go. We are working on getting Aubrey a continuous blood glucose monitor (CGM) and also an insulin pump. Unfortunately our insurance through the military does not cover the costs. Even our monthly supplies we are required to pay a significant amount out of pocket. Supplies that Aubrey desperately needs to keep her blood glucose levels down and diluted humalog to keep her alive. Every minute, day, week is a struggle and we do everything we can to keep Aubrey's life as normal as possible while we monitor every single carb that she consumes to make sure we give her the proper amount of insulin. So, long story, and sadly, we ask for help in any way possible to help cover the medical costs as well as Aubrey's insulin pump and CGM. This is the new norm for her, and she will know no different. However, it has significantly changed our lives forever. Thank you.
