Atwal House Fire Fund

On Saturday July 15, 2017 just before midnight, the Atwal Family & Tenants of the house were awakened by the sounds of smoke detectors going off finding the entire roof of the house was engulfed in flames. The cause is thought to be Fireworks being set off in the neighborhood directly behind them from a house party. No one knows for sure this was the cause, however, neighbors in the area recall hearing sounds of fireworks being set off around the time of the fire.

The Family (tenants) living in the upstairs of the house do not have any renters insurance and have 2 small children both under the age of 5. This family recently moved here from Manitoba.

Everything is a loss due to extensive water, smoke and fire damage. They have nothing! These families have been through more then anyone should have thrown at them.

I have created this page for them as they deserve everything. Always putting others first before themselves and would chose to go without so others could have.

Please help these familes!

My name is Gurpreet Gavin Atwal. My family and I are from Vancouver, British Columbia. Our family and our tenants were involved in a horrific fire that took place on July 15th, we were all lucky to escape. My kind friend Jennifer made this gofundme page for our family to help get us back on our feet as we had lost everything in the fire. The funds raised will be used to help us obtain the necessities required to live for ex. food, pay for new housing/rent while our home undergoes investigation, clothes, hygenic products, and bedding etc.  This money will also help the tenants that were also living with us to help them also do the same. My friends have now allowed me (Gurpreet Gavin Atwal) to take over the resposibilities of this account, and I attend to withdraw the funds myself so we are able to utilize the money to get back on our feet.
