Atlanta Board Game Swap Meet

I'm organizing an open event for anyone to come and buy, sell, or trade games directly with other local gamers. 

Most gamers have a shelf or two full of games we don't play any more, and a wishlist of games we'd like to play. Trading with other gamers is a great idea, but online markets are expensive due to shipping, and most conventions and swap events have high ticket prices or limitations that make them unfriendly to casual gamers. This event aims to gather a lot of gamers together and make these transactions as cheap and easy as possible.

The meetup will be held on the afternoon of Saturday October 20, located somewhere around Atlanta. A large room with plenty of tables to lay out our games. We have several options, and once I have an idea of how many people to expect, I will finalize the location and let everyone know.

If you would like to be on the guest list and receive updates, just contribute $1 or more to help make this happen. All money raised will be spent on the event. Since it looks like we have some options for a free event space, all the extra funds will be spent on snacks and door prizes. Also, we'll be able to stick around and play games after the main swap meet event. 

I'm hoping this will be an annual event, and something to build up our local community of like-minded game nerds. If you have any friends that you think will be interested, please share this with them.

Update: Somebody volunteered to organize a math trade (a big communal swap coordinated by computer algorithms). So anyone who joins that can deliver their games at the event, without any shipping costs. Bonus! This is coming together so nicely!
