Why support ÁIRC Midlands and Athlone Community Radio?
ÁIRC Midlands is a voluntary support organisation for children with any additional needs and their family and friends. It is accessible to anyone in the midlands. This support comes in many forms, emotional, social, educational and financial. We have provided workshops, summer camps, accessible and fully inclusive family days, subsidised therapies and emergency respite grants to families since we set up.
Athlone Community Radio is a not for profit volunteer led community media project supporting community groups, organisations and individuals by giving them air time to highlight and promote the work they do in our community. We also providing work experience to Students from TY, 3rd Level, Return to Education Programmes. We also provide training and skills development to volunteers, who in turn record and preserve local oral histories. We offer an alternative media source to the Community of Athlone.
Any support you could provide will make a real and lasting difference to the services provided by ÁIRC Midlands and Athlone Community Radio and we would greatly appreciate it.
