Aloha Everyone!
My name is Lia Jamerson and I am the current Miss Downtown Honolulu USA. I am so honored to represent the downtown Honolulu area in the 2015 Miss Hawaii USA pageant. Competing for Miss Hawaii USA, Miss USA and hopefully Miss Universe has been a lifelong dream. You can make a meaningful difference as I prepare to compete for Miss Hawaii USA, which will be held at the JW Marriott Ihilani on November 23, 2014.
Winning the title of Miss Hawaii USA will give me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will open professional doors that would otherwise not be accessible.
The following is a little background information about myself. I received my BA in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry from Hawaii Pacific University (HPU). I am now currently a second year grad student at HPU pursuing an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and am pleased to graduate this August. I am also a print and runway model with Wilhelmina Hawaii. I am very active within my Honolulu community. I am a volunteer Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish Hawaii. I have also done much community service and special volunteer events/fundraisers at various places such as Queens Medical Center, Harris Preschool, Shriner's Hospitals for Children Honolulu, and at an IHS Womens' Shelter. During my undergrad career, I was very involved in the HPU community as vice-president of the Psych Club, founder/president of the HPU Chapter of Minority Association for Pre-Medical Students (MAPS), President's Host, and mentor for the honors program. I love music, and have played violin and piano for the majority of my life. In my free time, I love to hike, swim, read and watch movies with friends.
I would be delighted for you to play a meaningful role in my success at this year’s pageant. You can help and support me by making a monetary contribution to help me cover the expenses such as entrance fees, wardrobe and personal preparations.
