At a request for help

Previously, in my last Go Fund Me page for my mom, I light-heartedly shared about my mom’s last wishes to purchase a gravesite at Rose Hills Cemetery. Well, thanks to your generous donations, she was able to set aside these funds for her burial.

Dumbfounded, drained, and nearly at our surrender, both of us had no idea what kind of powerless battle we would be up against. For those who experienced or currently is experiencing this asymmetrical warfare against cancer, whether personally or through a loved one, I whole-heartedly apologize for the passive or dismissive ignorance I portrayed in my previous GFM page.

As of today, my mom finished her brain surgery and her tumor removed. Her next step was to have Gamma Knife surgery to destroy the remaining DNA of the cancer cells in her brain. However, during her pre-op appointment, we were told that the cancer spread to other areas around her brain. Therefore, we will have to resort to full-head radiation treatment. All of this is to help reduce her pain levels, which she already experiences an insurmountable amount of pain due to blood clotting and inflammation from surgery.

THE REASON FOR THIS 2ND GO FUND ME PAGE:

Cancer takes a toll in our physical, emotional, and financial capabilities. The reason I need your hope, thoughts, prayers and kind donations, is because we hit a near dead-end road. The landlord of the home my mom was living in all these years, has decided to sell the house and move out-of-state. My mom was given no type of advanced notice and in fact was given this piece of information as she was getting ready to be discharged from her brain operation. Without anywhere to go, she had to go back and forth from the house I rent a room in and to my brother’s house that he rents a room at too.

I am no longer able to work as a Paralegal as I need to help care for my mom 24/7. As many of you already know, as an In-home Special Services caregiver, I cannot claim unemployment and is only eligible to be paid $12/hour after a lengthy process of case/paper work. My mom’s source of income isn’t nearly enough to cover living costs let alone the cost of some costly medications not covered by her insurance (Fentanyl patches, devices for mobility, produce goods, etc.)

Which brings me at my request for your help, once again. Any thoughts, hopes, prayers, and kind donations is appreciated. I never thought she would lose her home at a time like this. Faced with the reality, we can only fight forward and stronger.

Lastly, your empathy and kindness is priceless as to what I can repay you. However, I promise the Universe, that when I heal from this tragic time in life, I am dedicating my life’s purpose to serve those who need it most.

Without compassion, the world is impossible. Thank you again for those who took the time to read through.
