Asterion to Poland
Great news! We've been invited to collaborate with Poland's renowned theater company Teatr ZAR in Wrocław, Poland this July. What’s cool about this is that Wrocław has been named the European Capital of Culture for 2016.
While we are incredibly honored at this opportunity, we need to raise money to help cover the cost of airfare. We are bringing six members of our recent workshop production of “Asterion" to further develop the piece with members of Teatr ZAR.
This amazing opportunity came together rather quickly, so time is of the essence… We'd love to raise $15,000 by June 1st, but will still make the trip regardless. All monies received after June 1st will go to the reimbursement of trip expenses.
Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution. Every donation, no matter the size, gets us one step closer to furthering our artistic growth as a company.
Thank you for your support!

Since you played such an integral part in helping us get to Poland and work with Teatr Zar on Asterion, we wanted to make sure you were the first to know. Tickets have just gone on sale and you can get them here.
We hope you will be able to join us in November and see what you helped to make happen.

The Ghost Road Company presents Asterion, a 90-minute performance inspired by the myth of the Minotaur. Returning from a sort of exile, battle weary Asterion faces a strange homecoming full of veiled intentions and twisted familial bonds. In this world of shadows, he must face his demons as those closest to him fan the flames of his monstrousness. This visceral, physical, and poetic retelling, conceived by Katharine Noon, reflects the recent work of the ensemble with the Polish theater company Teatr ZAR and includes two of its performers.
Here is a short video from the end of our first day working with our new friends at TeatrZAR. Thank you for all your support and help in making this happen. The working is incredibly challenging and rewarding. Can't wait to share more with you.
