Aspen / Renal Failure

Hello,
I'm writing to ask for help for my Aspen. He was recently diagnosed with renal failure and spent the night at the vet on Monday for an IV drip. Our first time not being with each other during the night. Not a good night for either of us.
I brought him back home on Tuesday and gave him his 1st IV drip at home, this morning. The first one I've learned to give. The vet and I are hoping to get his bun numbers down, so he needs 2 IV drips a day in hopes of doing that.
Being a cancer patient right now, I'm on a fixed income and the financial hit is something I can't take on, but I also don't want to loose Aspen. He's been through so much with me, including loosing 2 dogs during my treatment. We've been through too much together and he's been my clown through so much of it. We still need each other so very much.
Aspen is just about 8 years old, so not an old guy. I was not familiar with renal disease in dogs or had any idea until recently what it would entail on his life changes or financial costs. I learned pretty fast after the first bill, that I won't be able to pay for his treatments, unless I asked for help. Something that is hard for me to do, but Aspen is all I have and he's worth me having to put his story out there, in hopes I don't have to give up on his treatments.
I'd be so thankful for any help, because we both need each other through our illnesses. I still need him to be my clown and my little guy to love through my own trials and he needs me for his new life changes and for the love I give him. I've started making his foods now and much to my surprise, I have learned without too many fears, to inject that needle for his IV drips. Honestly, I wasn't sure I could do that, but then I thought of all he's done for me when I needed a clown and a love bug. That quickly put my fears aside.
