Eyecare where most lacking

Donation protected
Aspana Foundation is aiming to set up eye health camps in India, to help test the people who have taken to living on the streets and the slums.

https://www.aspanafoundation.org

I will be using mostly my own personal equipment for the testing, however there is some generalised equipment that needs to be bought to complete an eye test.

A trial lens set - £150

Eye drops for dilation, anaesthetics, flourescein - £100 - £150

And hoping to at some point add the icare Tonometer that costs around - £2500 + £118 (probes)

The tonometer is an essential part of an eye test that measures the eye's pressure and helps diagnose serious eye illnesses like Glaucoma, Uveitis, Acute Angle Closure and aids in many other conditions , and even in a retinal detachment. All these conditions cause permanent damage to vision and lead to the loss of eye if left untreated.

The money raised from these funds will go towards the basic equipment needed above and towards getting spectacles made. A normal eye test + spectacles given will cost around £10 per person and with one click you can give that gift to someone halfway across the world!

To fund this campaign, I will be doing various things over the year.

So please help me start-up this amazing cause to start a campaign to eradicate the loss of knowledge on eyecare to as many states as we can and to reach for providing hope to those that might not have even realised that they can own a pair of spectacles to see the world clearly.
